Meetings

Rain Writers meetings are held the third Saturday of each month except in the Summer and where otherwise noted.  We meet at the  Food Co-op on Cordata Ave near Whatcom Community College in the Community Room.  The Community Room is upstairs.  You do not need to be a member to attend these monthly meetings.  Meeting time is 12 noon to 2pm. 






2014/ 2015 SCHEDULE



September 20 -- Regroup after the summer break.  Share LOJ workshops and experiences and any other class/workshops members attended. 


October -- no regular meeting this month.
October 17 & 18 -- "Things Greek and Gilded"  -- Gilding Workshop given by Georgia Angelopoulos.


November 15  --  Suzie's Surprise!


December  --  no regular meeting this month.
December  14  --  Holiday Party.  1pm to 4pm at Karen Clark's home.


January 17 -- Recap of the Gilding Workshop given by the scholarship winner.  Presentations by others who attended the workshop.


February 21 -- Karen Clark -- Funky alphabet using the parallel pen.


March 21 -- Pat Padden -- Chinese writing from the 15th - 11th centuries BC.


April 18 -- Letters of Joy prep.


May -- no regular meeting due to LOJ the first weekend in May.


June 20 -- Tea party/luncheon and sharing of LOJ experiences.  Location to be announced.
